Hi, I'm Rachael! I'm a Professional Longboarder that travels around the world for various competitions and surf trips. I love the sport of longboarding and also have a passion for sailing and my church.
I started surfing at 4 years old at my local beach of Dohney State Beach. After winning my first surf contest at 8 years old, I became hooked to the challenge of competition and the thrill of winning. That's when I established my goal that I wanted to be the youngest ever surfing world champion. My dad committed to the journey with me as my coach and my family spent countless weekends at WSA Amateur events and school competitions.
I qualified for the world tour when I was 14 years old. Around the same time, I qualified for the USA Surf Team, becoming the first ever woman longboarder to represt the USA at an ISA World Championships event. I won the Silver Medal in the Open Women's at the 2013 ISA World Longboard Championships.
However, I still had a long way until a WSL World Title was achievable. I continued to train hard with my dad and finally 3 years later at 17 years old, I won the coveted WSL Women's Longboard World Title! The journey was anything but easy but realizing my dream of youngest world champion was the most fullfilling reward. Most recently, I competed with the USA Surf Team at the 2018 ISA Longboard World Championships and we won 2 team gold medals! We were so excited to represent our country and bring the gold home to the USA.
I'm now continuing to travel, compete, and train for another world title. Join me on my journey around the world to my second wolrd title!
